DENVER, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: AIRM), the nation's largest exclusive provider of air medical services and systems, today announced the appointment of Prudential Securities Inc. as its investment banker to facilitate the restructuring of all of the company's remaining senior secured aircraft debt obligations, including all aircraft operating and capital leases. Accordingly, Prudential will assist Air Methods in arranging for the restructuring and replacement of all outstanding aircraft debt with less costly debt. This debt restructuring should be completed this fall.
 W. Terrance Schreier, chairman and chief executive officer of the company, confirmed that the completion of the company's debt restructuring may have a significantly positive operating impact upon the company. In this connection, Air Methods believes that the restructuring of all of its remaining aircraft debt should enhance the company's profitability and cash flow, as well as accelerate its greater- than-25 percent annualized revenue growth rate experienced over the past five years.
Air Methods is the largest exclusive provider of state-of-the-art emergency air medical transportation systems and services to hospitals throughout the United States.
