        AIR METHODS ANNOUNCES DELIVERY OF FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND
                MEDICAL HELICOPTER TO GERMANY
    DENVER, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corporation (NASDAQ: AIRM), the nation's largest exclusive provider of air medical transportation systems and services, today announced its first delivery of a state-of-the-art medical helicopter dedicated for emergency airborne transportation services in Germany.  In this connection, Air Methods has delivered an IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) equipped Bell 412 HP and installed its proprietary, custom-designed medical interior for operation by HDM Flugservice, GmbHnal similar aircraft for use in emergency air medical transportation settings are likely to be provided to HDM by Air Methods Corporation in the future.
    HDM's IFR-equipped Bell 412 HP is quite similar to the largest domestic helicopter utilized by Air Methods with several of its U.S.- based hospital customers.  The Bell IFR 412 HP, the largest medical helicopter available world-wide, is designed to transport either 2 intensive care patients or 4 acute care patients, in addition to 4 medical professionals and 2 IFR-certified pilots.
    The completed medical helicopter interior, the "Pauley Pak II," is the result of a two year design and refinement process exclusively the property of Air Methods.  This uniquely designed Bell 412 HP medical interior operates as a high technology extension of a hospital intensive care unit.
    In addition to its providing of this first airborne emergency medical helicopter for use in Germany, Air Methods Corporation has previously completed two Gulfstream airplane fixed wing emergency medical interiors for delivery in Canada.  Also, Air Methods completed the medical retrofit of two Learjets with on-board emergency intensive care interiors for medical service utilization in France and the United States in 1991.
