AIR INDIA INAUGURATES WICAT CBT TRAINING SYSTEM

    OREM, Utah, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat announced today that Air India inaugurated the recently installed Wicat computer-based training (CBT) system and their full-flight simulator supplied by CAE for the B747-400 aircraft at their flight crew training center in Bombay.
    India's minister of aviation, Ghulam Nabi Azad, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony in Bombay.  Azad spoke at the ceremony about the challenges faced by the aviation organizations in India in the fast-changing, highly competitive, worldwide aviation industry.  Rohit Patel, vice president and general manager of Wicat, and Kevin Padden, senior sales manager of Wicat, attended the ceremonies.
    Wicat provided a comprehensive training system comprising B747-400, B747-200, and A-310 flight crew and cabin attendant courseware.  A network of 14 high resolution workstations were also installed with a classroom projection system, color scanner, laserjet printer, and Wicat's CBT development and delivery products SAGE, WCMI, and WT&E.
    Air India will immediately begin to use the system to train pilots converting to the B747-400 aircraft.
    Air India's selection of Wicat further strengthens Wicat's presence in this region.  Other Wicat customers include Pakistan International Air, Iran Air, Gulf Air, Thai International, Cathay Pacific, and Singapore Airlines.
