AIR CANADA WILL GREATLY INCREASE SERVICES FROM FLORIDA THIS WINTER

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Canada has announced its annual expanded winter schedule between South Florida and Canada, which includes flight frequency additions to year-round scheduled services from Miami and Tampa. The airline's increase planned charter operations from Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando and Fort Myers to various Canadian cities will be available for individual sales in the United States for the first time.
"Our 1993/94 winter schedule, which is effective between Dec. 17, 1993, and April 2, 1994, will offer Canada-bound travelers slightly more seat capacity than last winter, reflecting not only the addition of flights, but also the utilization of larger aircraft on selected routes upon customer demand," said Ronald Waters, Air Canada's general manager, field sales, U.S.A. & South.
Some examples of the increased flight services on year-round scheduled routes include: Miami-Toronto from three to four daily and Miami-Montreal from one to two daily; Tampa-Toronto from two to three daily and Tampa-Montreal increased to once daily from once weekly. Schedules for planned charter operations vary depending on dates between Dec. 17-April 2, and include services between: Orlando- Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa/Halifax/Winnipeg; Ft. Lauderdale- Ottawa/Montreal/Toronto/Quebec City; West Palm Beach and Toronto; Tampa- Halifax/St. John's, Newfoundland; Fort Myers and Toronto.
The largest foreign flag carrier serving South Florida, Air Canada operates more non-stop flights to Canada than any other airline and offers convenient connections at Toronto and Montreal to Air Canada's flights to cities throughout Canada and Europe.
