AIR CANADA WILL CHANGT?ERMINALS, INCREASE FLIGHTS AT NEWARK

NEW YORK, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Canada will move its operations and staff at Newark International Airport from its present location in Terminal B to Continental Airline's Terminal C -- on Sept. 8, 1993.
Effective Sept. 13, 1993 the airline will increase its weekday scheduled non-stop flights between Newark and Toronto International Airport from five to six daily and between Newark and Montreal from two to three daily.
Air Canada's change of terminals and increase of flights at Newark International Airport will make it possible for Air Canada and Continental Airlines to coordinate their respective flight schedules to achieve maximum mutual marketing opportunities that is part of the recent partnership agreement between the airlines.
"Our move to Continental's major hub in the northeast U.S.A. will offer Continental's passengers to make convenient connections to Air Canada's destination cities across Canada, to Europe and the Caribbean -- and conversely, Air Canada's passengers from Canada can easily connect to Continental's flights throughout the U.S.A. and beyond," said Ronald Waters, Air Canada's general manager, field sales, U.S.A. & South.
Air Canada and its regional "Connector" carriers (Air Ontario, Air Nova, Air Alliance) will collectively operate up to 16 non-stop flights daily this winter from Newark to Toronto (International and downtown airports), Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and Quebec City. This is in addition to the up to 13 daily flights Air Canada operates from New York's La Guardia Airport to Toronto and to Montreal.
