AIR CANADA WILL CHANGE TERMINALS AT LAGUARDIA

NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Canada will move its operations at New York's LaGuardia Airport from the USAir terminal to the Central Terminal Building on March 13, 1993.
The move is necessitated by the expiration of Air Canada's sub- lease terminal facility contract with USAir, originally signed with the Trump Shuttle. Air Canada moved from the main terminal to the then Trump Shuttle terminal in October, 1990. At LaGuardia's Central Terminal, Air Canada will occupy gates 32 and 33 in Concourse A, adjacent to Continental Airlines. who will perform the ramp handling for Air Canada's flights.
"Air Canada's close proximity to Continental's gates at LaGuardia will make it possible the two airlines to co-ordinate their respective flight schedules to achieve maximum mutual marketing opportunities that will be part of our upcoming airline partnership agreement when it is finalized," said Jessica G. Morris, Air Canada's general manager airport services, U.S. & South.
"This move affirms Air Canada's long term commitment in the New York area which the airline began serving at LaGuardia in 1941," said Morris.
From LaGuardia Air Canada operates up to 13 flights daily (seven to Toronto and six to Montreal). The airline also serves Newark International Airport with daily non-stop flights to Toronto and to Montreal, in addition to its Connector carrier operations: Air Ontario, Air Nova and Air Alliance operate daily flights to Toronto's downtown Island Airport, Halifax and Quebec City respectively.
