AIR CANADA INCREASES SERVICES FROM TAMPA

NEW YORK, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Canada recently added a second daily flight to its schedule between Tampa, Fla., and Toronto, marking the first time ever that the airline has operated two daily flights between the cities during the summer period.
"The added service between Tampa and Toronto reflects not only the increase in traffic of Canadians to Tampa/St. Petersburg, but also the greater numbers of persons from the Tampa Bay area who are traveling to Canada," said Ronald L. Waters, general manager, field sales for the United States and South.
The new DC9 equipped flight which departs Tampa International Airport at 9:20 a.m. arriving non-stop in Toronto at 12:05 p.m., enables passengers destined to other cities in Canada or to Europe, to connect to Air Canada's flights throughout Canada and to the 10 cities it serves in Europe.
The increased frequency will be effective year-round and added capacity during the busier winter months will be available with the operation of larger aircraft type and added flights.
Air Canada is the largest foreign flag carrier operating from Tampa International Airport which it has served since 1950. The airline also operates scheduled services to Canada from Miami in addition to its scheduled charter operation to Canada from Orlando, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
