AIOUs post graduate admissions with late fee to be continued till 16 July.

ISLAMABAD, July 08, 2011 (Balochistan Times): Admissions of Postgraduate Programmes of the Allama Iqbal Open University for the Semester Autumn, 2011 are continued with five hundred (Rs.500) late fee charges simultaneously across the country. Last date for all postgraduate admissions with late fee charges is 16th July, 2011 this was announced by Director Admissions, Allama Iqbal Open University, Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain Naqvi. According to press release issued here on Thursday, he further said that admissions of Ph.D in Urdu, Islamiat, Iqbaliat, Chemistry and Pakistani languages & Literature with specialization in (Pashto/Balochi/Brahvi/Sindhi/Saraiki and Punjabi) while the admissions of MS/M.Phil are included in Mass Communication, Chemistry, Iqbaliat, Food & Nutrition, Islamiat and Arabic. The Admissions of Chemistry programme at the level of Ph.D/MS and M.Phil are being offered only for Islamabad. The admissions of M.Sc are offered in Economics, Pakistan Studies, Gender & Women Studies and Community Health & Nutrition. The admissions of Commonwealth of Learning MBA/MPA and MA are being offered in Arabic, Islamiat and Urdu Programmes. Postgraduate Diploma(PGD) in Dietetics for Community Nurses/Home Economics, Nutrition for physician are also been offered. Admission Forms and Prospectuses can be obtained from the main campus of University at Sector H-8, Islamabad as well as from its 36 Regional Campuses around the country. Last date for submission the admission forms with late fee charges is 16th July, 2011. Fee would not be accepted by Bank Draft or Pay Order. For admission in M.Phil / Ph.D programmes, passing the test of GAT (General/Subject) of NTS is compulsory. NTS (General/Subject) Results are valid for the period of two years. Those who already passed their GAT (General/Subject) are advised to submit their application with previous results. Further information are available from the website www.aiou.edu.pk of university.
