AIH Upgrades Its A-Bone Link for Malaysia's Jaring.

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2002

Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ, Nasdaq: IIJI) today announced that its 26.7% affiliate Asia Internet Holding Co., Ltd. (AIH) has completed an upgrade of it's A-Bone link for Malaysia's Jaring to 45Mbps.

Jaring is one of the largest ISPs (Internet Service Provider) in Malaysia and a strategic business unit of MIMOS Berhad. With this expansion, A-Bone now operates a total of 90Mbps of capacity between Japan and Malaysia. In order to support the ever expanding growth of Internet in Malaysia and other Asian countries, AIH will continue to ramp up its A-Bone network as a central piece of Asian Internet infrastructure.
