AICPA offers PFP guide collection.

The AICPA personal financial planning division is offering a collection of financial planning guides to CPAs interested in enriching their PFP skills. The guides, originally contained only in the division's PFP manual, are available individually or as a set at a discount price.

* Guide to Investment Planning (product no. 017111, list price $33.75) provides alternative strategies for delivering investment planning services, shows how to use asset allocation strategies and supplies the checklists and information-gathering forms necessary to put this information to work for clients. A number of forms that can be adapted to a practitioner's particular needs are included, as are illustrative work papers and sample client communications.

* Guide to Risk Management and Insurance Planning (product no. 017112, list price $42.50) provides CPAs with an easy-to-use reference that examines a practitioner's role in risk management and provides the technical information necessary to help clients make informed decisions about insurance needs. It contains practice aids and checklists CPAs can adapt to individual client needs.

* Guide to the Personal Financial Planning Process and Professional Standards (product no. 017113, list price $29) describes the PFP process and covers the professional literature and standards that apply. The subjects include ethics, written financial plans, reporting on personal financial statements and preparing personal financial statements and projections.

A set of all three guides (product no. 017114) is also available for the discount price of $60.

To place individual orders or to order the set, call the AICPA order department at (800) 334-6961 [(800) 248-0445 in New York State].
