AICPA issues brochure on business succession.

The AICPA has issued a new brochure, Business Succession: Planning for a Change in Ownership (product no. 338694), in the Business Advice from CPAs series.

The brochure stresses the importance of having a business succession plan to ensure the owner's financial security upon retirement and the continued success of the operation. It describes four stages in developing a business succession plan and emphasizes the need for a CPA's expertise.
