AICPA issues ED on CPA exam content.


The American Institute of CPAs board of examiners issued an exposure draft that describes the examination content for which CPA candidates will be held responsible beginning with the May 1996 Uniform CPA Examination.

Copies of the ED, titled Proposed Content Specifications for the Uniform CPA Examination (Effective May 1996), are available from the AICPA examinations division, Harborside Financial Center, 201 Plaza III, Jersey City, New Jersey 07311-3881. The board of examiners will meet to discuss the exposure draft at AICPA headquarters in New York City on September 13 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Further information can be obtained by calling (201) 938-3428.
