AICPA awards Gold Medal to Strait at annual meeting.

At its annual meeting, the AICPA presented the CPA Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession, the highest award the Institute can bestow, to A. Marvin Strait, board chairman of Strait, Kushinsky & Company, Colorado Springs, Colorado, for meritorious service over his 35-year career. Strait, who was the 1987-88 chairman of the AICPA board of directors, also has served as chairman of both the Colorado Society of CPAs and the Colorado State Board of Accountancy and as a member of numerous committees. Among his many achievements was the successful implementation of the AICPA Plan to Restructure Professional Standards.
