The American Institute of CPAs released a new audit risk alert, State and Local Governmental Developments-1991. and

The alert provides auditors of the financial statements of state and local governments with an overview of recent economic, industry, regulatory and professional developments that may affect the audits they perform. It also explains conditions that may indicate the existence of increased audit risk, including federal grant programs subject to higher-than-normal risks of fraud and abuse. The appendix includes Audit Risk Alert-1990.
