AG Aloko sacked over secret talks with Taliban.

KABUL (PAN): Attorney General Muhammad Aloko has been removed from his position after a secret meeting with Taliban negotiators, a media report said on Monday.

The Reuters news agency quoted an unnamed official as saying Aloko had met members of the Taliban's peace negotiation team in Dubai without permission from the government.

"President Hamid Karzai has sacked his attorney general after the chief law officer held an unsanctioned meeting with Taliban peace negotiators in the United Arab Emirates."

Aloko was appointed as attorney general in 2008.
