AFFI announces promotions of Ziglar and Darnell.

AFFI recently announced the promotions of AFFI staff members Linda K. Ziglar and Lucas Darnell.

Ziglar has been promoted from director of financial operations to vice president of financial operations. She is responsible for directing the financial and accounting operations of the Institute. In addition, she administers all financial programs relating to AFFI and its subsidiaries, as well as the other independent organizations managed by AFFI.

Prior to joining AFFI, Ziglar ran her own company, LKL Consultants. She consulted for companies ranging from small non-profits to Fortune 100 companies in numerous areas of expertise.

Lucas Darnell has been promoted to senior director of communications and marketing. Darnell, who previously served as director of AFFI's communications department, is responsible for the communication of AFFI's positions on legislative and regulatory issues which impact the frozen food industry, as well as the management of the day-to-day responsibilities of AFFI's aggressive communications plan, which includes member communications, media relations, and issue advocacy. Darnell joined AFFI in 2000 as an assistant in the communications department.

In making the announcement, Leslie G. Sarasin, CAE, AFFI's president and chief executive officer, said, "During their time with AFFI, Linda and Lucas have proven themselves to be indispensable members of the AFFI staff, working diligently to enhance AFFI's reputation and execution. In their new roles, they will continue AFFI's strong commitment to excellence and member services."
