 AETNA AND MADD GIVE AWARDS TO NASSAU COUNTY POLICE OFFICIALS NEWS CONFERENCE ALERT, NASSAU POLICE HEADQUARTERS, MONDAY, DEC. 23
 WHO: Police Commissioner Samuel J. Rozzi, Deputy Inspector Ken McGoff, District Attorney Denis E. Dillon, and DWI Coordinator Dennis Lavalle
 WHAT: Will receive Trailblazer Awards from the Long Island Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Aetna Life and Casualty for their pioneering use of video cameras over the past year in the "Eye on DWI" program to crack down on drunk driving and their aggressive and effective prosecution of offenders.
 WHERE: Nassau County Police Headquarters, 1490 Franklin Ave., Mineola.
 WHEN: at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 23, 1991
 DETAILS: Eighteen months ago Long Island MADD and Aetna Life & Casualty donated 19 video cameras to the Nassau and Suffolk County Police Departments for use in arresting and convicting drunk drivers. Six cameras were donated to Nassau and 13 to Suffolk. The cameras are proving to be an effective new tool for these departments and others across the nation in increasing conviction rates, obtaining more guilty pleas and saving officers' time and court costs.
