 AEROQUIP NAMES MARANO VICE PRESIDENT - NEW BUSINESS
 DEVELOPMENT/CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
 MAUMEE, Ohio, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- John P. Marano, Jr. has joined Aeroquip Corporation, a TRINOVA company (NYSE: TNV), as vice president - new business development/chief technical officer.
 In this newly created position, Marano will lead Aeroquip's efforts in developing new business and market opportunities, and in accelerating innovative product and process development programs.
 Marano, 50, was previously president of an international consulting firm which specializes in commercializing technology in chemical, plastic and high-technology businesses. Prior to establishing this firm, he was vice president - technology for Olin Corporation's Chemical Group. Among his previous positions are business development manager of Mobil's Chemical Group, engineering director for FMC's Industrial Chemicals Group and technology manager at Union Carbide.
 He holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master of science degree and a doctorate in chemical engineering from Yale University. He is also an adjunct professor at Yale where he developed and teaches a graduate level course in the management of technology.
 TRINOVA is a world leader in the manufacture and distribution of engineered components and systems for industry. Its components and systems are sold through its operating companies, Aeroquip and Vickers, to the industrial, aerospace & defense, and automotive markets.
