AEROHIVE OFFERS DEAL TO ARUBA NETWORKS CUSTOMERS.
Aerohive Networks has begun offering a limited-time sales promotion for existing Aruba Networks customers. Titled Get Me Off This Island, this special program offers Aruba customers up to 25 percent off list price for purchases of all Aerohive networking gear through year-end.
HP has acquired Aruba Networks. This is HP's third transaction to add a wireless networking solution to its portfolio of various product offerings.
Prior to the acquisition, Aruba was one of the leaders in the enterprise Wi-Fi marketplace, with much of its revenue tied to its controller-based WLAN business. Post- acquisition, Aruba's existing product portfolios and potentially related future R&D may be impacted by other HP product lines and investments within the HP portfolio of offerings.
With its Get Me Off This Island promotion, Aerohive is offering to existing Aruba customers up to 25 percent discount off the current list price of Aerohive wireless and networking products. This special offer is designed to provide a reliable, affordable enterprise solution alternative for Aruba customers who may have concerns about the future. Aruba customers can immediately benefit from the simplicity, scalability, security, and insight offered by Aerohive's solution. Aerohive offers a single consistent architecture from branch offices to some of the largest Wi- Fi deployments in the world.
The Aerohive Get Me Off This Island promotion is available through Aerohive authorized resellers, effective immediately and for orders received through December 31, 2015. Aruba customers who currently have 25 or more Aruba access points installed at the time of the order are eligible for this program. A decommissioning statement confirming that the existing Aruba access points are no longer in use is required as a condition of this promotional pricing.
"Since the HP/Aruba acquisition was announced we have had a surge of inquiries from Aruba partners and customers, said David Greene, senior vice president, chief marketing officer, Aerohive Networks. We all know that with multiple product lines and multiple management systems some won't make the cut, but no one knows which ones. Rather than worrying about an uncertain future we invite customers and partners to move forward with Aerohive, as so many other customers have already done.
Needless to say, light bulbs were going off in my head. No way did I want a wireless solution that required more of my time instead of less, said Angie Tellmann, networking services, Averitt Express. Aruba and Cisco offer a resolution to the redundancy problem by suggesting a backup controller for each location, but why would we spend extra money when we didn't have to? Aerohive's controller-less wireless architecture was the way to go - hands down.
