AER LINGUS INTRODUCES NEW, LOW SUMMERTIME FARES TO IRELAND

NEW YORK, June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- A new one-week airfare to Ireland has just been introduced by Aer Lingus for summer travel from New York or Boston. Similarly reduced fares are also now available from other major U.S. cities.
Starting at $575 roundtrip to Shannon, the airline's Summer Special airfare represents savings of up to $150 on Apex fares from its New York and Boston gateways, for travel commencing between June 15 and Sept. 15. The Summer Special fare of $575 is valid for roundtrip midweek travel -- Dublin is $20 additional and there is a $20 surcharge for weekend travel, roundtrip. There is a requirement that travelers must return one week after departure and advance bookings must be made at least 14 days prior to travel.
In cooperation with USAir and TWA, Aer Lingus also has low fares from a number of other U.S. cities to Ireland (all fares are roundtrip to Shannon, midweek):
 CHICAGO - $759 PHILADELPHIA - $629
 SAN FRANCISCO - $879 BALTIMORE - $629
 PITTSBURGH - $759 CLEVELAND - $796
Aer Lingus is currently advertising in major newspapers across the country to bring these great travel values to the attention of potential travelers who might have decided that a European vacation was not within their budgets this year. The airline is also featuring its Discover Ireland Vacations products, with prices starting at $45 per person, per day for accommodations in Ireland's famous Bed & Breakfast locations and an Avis rental car. Combining this vacation package with the new airfare from New York or Boston, an all-inclusive one-week vacation in the Emerald Isle now costs under $900. Similar savings are also available from other cities.
Information and reservations are available from any travel agent or by calling Aer Lingus at 800-223-6537 (in New York City, 212-557-1110).
