AELE launches new subscription case summary report.

Americans for Effective Law Enforcement (AELE; Park Ridge, IL), a nonprofit educational organization, has launched Monthly Law Summaries, a new case law digest subscription service that carries summaries from three AELE monthly publications, including Law Enforcement Liability Reporter, Jail and Prisoner Law Bulletin and Fire and Police Personnel Reporter. An annual subscription costs $335.

Law Enforcement Liability Reporter carries articles on the civil liability of law enforcement officers and agencies. Content covers over 200 different topics, including false arrest, use of force, invasion of privacy, defamation, vehicle pursuits and failure to protect. Jail and Prisoner Law Bulletin includes articles on the civil liability of officers and jails, detention centers and prisons arising out of custody, dention or confinement of prisoners and inmates. Content includes coverage of such issues as custodial suicide, physical and sexual assaults, special diets, religious needs, visitation and mail and disabled inmate needs.

Fire and Police Personnel Reporter contains articles on litigation arising out of employee disciplinary action and labor laws. The title covers such topics as age, race, sex, nationality and disability discrimination, collective bargaining rights, overtime claims, disciplinary offenses, procedures, interviews and evidence, military and FMLA leave, fitness requirements, whistleblower rights and stress-related claims.

Issues of Monthly Law Summaries contain short descriptions of the articles in all three publications, along with case names, docket numbers and citations. Subscribers also have access to 20,000 summaries of cases dating from 1975.
