AEL WINS AIRCRAFT MODIFICATION CONTRACT LANSDALE, Pa., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- AEL Industries, Inc.
(NASDAQ-NMS: AELNA) announced today that its AEL Defense Corp. subsidiary has been awarded a Time and Materials (T&M) aircraft modification contract by the U.S. Air Force's Aeronautical Systems Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
The value of the contract has the potential to reach $25 million. The overall objective of this contract is to modify, demodify and revalidate U.S. Air Force aircraft modifications. The contract will also involve the development of related test instrumentation, test support equipment or other type aircraft support equipment for the 4950th Test Wing, Aeronautical System Division, Air Force System Command. The work on this contract is also to facilitate the qualification of new technologies being developed and inserted into selected systems, subsystems, equipment and components. The C-130, C-135, C-141 and the EC-18B (modified Boeing 707) are among the aircraft that may be modified. Work on this contract will primarily take place at the AEL Aero Division facilities in Dayton, Ohio, and at the St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto, Ill.
