AEL WINS $2 MILLION AWARD

 LANSDALE, Pa., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- AEL Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: AELNA) announced today that its AEL Defense Corp. subsidiary has been awarded a $2 million follow-on award to a production contract by Raytheon Electromagnetic Systems Division, Goleta, Calif.
 This contract is for the production of switches and switch filter components for use in the U.S. Air Force's ALQ-184(V) Electronic Countermeasures system. The AN/ALQ-184(V) is one of the U.S. Air Force's tactical self-protection electronic warfare systems designed for installation on various aircraft including the F-4, F-15, F-16, A-7, A-10 and F-111. Total value of orders received to date for these components is more than $22 million.
 The work will be performed by AEL's Microwave/Antenna Division located in Lansdale.
 AEL is a leading supplier of electronic defense systems and subsystems. The company designs and manufactures sophisticated countermeasures, simulation and radar warning receiver systems; installs and integrates electronic and avionic equipment in military aircraft; and provides state-of-the-art antenna, microwave and integrated circuit components.
 The Class A common stock of AEL Industries, Inc. is traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol AELNA.
