AEL RECEIVES $4.9 MILLION OPTION ON QF-106 CONTRACT

 LANSDALE, Pa., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- AEL Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: AELNA) announced today that its AEL Defense Corp. subsidiary has been awarded the fourth and final option on the QF-106 Full-Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) program.
 This phase of the contract is valued at $4.9 million and has been awarded by Honeywell Defense Avionics System Division, Albuquerque, N.M.
 The option calls for the conversion of an additional 36 F-106 aircraft to remotely controlled drones for U.S. Air Force pilot training and weapon systems testing. The total contract now involves the conversion of 224 F-106 aircraft, 108 of which AEL has successfully converted to date. The fourth option increases the present contract value to $24.6 million. Work on this program will continue at AEL's Aero facility at the St. Louis Regional Airport in East Alton, Ill.
 AEL is a leading supplier of electronic defense systems and subsystems. The company designs and manufactures sophisticated countermeasures, simulation and radar warning receiver systems; installs and integrates electronic and avionics equipment in military aircraft, and provides state-of-the-art antenna, microwave and integrated circuit components.
 The Class A common stock of AEL Industries, Inc. is traded in the over-the-counter market on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol AELNA.
