ADVANCED NMR SYSTEMS DOUBLES SIZE OF MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
WILMINGTON, Mass., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- In anticipation of increased demand for production of its Instascan device, Advanced NMR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANMR), has entered into an agreement to double its manufacturing space, Paul D. Bullinger, president and chief executive officer, announced today.
The expansion, which is scheduled for April, will increase the company's manufacturing space from approximately 15,000 square feet to an estimated 30,000 square feet.
The nine-year-old company's initial move to Wilmington in June 1991 marked the beginning of a rapid evolution from a small research firm to a full-scale, commercial production company with a sizable workforce. Advanced NMR Systems now has 76 employees, a difference from its staff of 16 just one year ago.
Advanced NMR Systems has developed and built the only hardware/ software system that provides 1/25 second, non-invasive, ultra high- speed, diagnostic quality images of the body and its moving organs. Instascan is an enhancement system for Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) units. It can be field-retrofitted and has already proven to dramatically increase the speed and range of MRI tests.
