ADVANCED GRAVIS COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY LTD. ANNOUNCES NO MATERIAL CHANGE
IN MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS COULD ACCOUNT FOR STOCK PRICE DECREASE
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Gravis Computer Technology Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: GRVSF, Vancouver: AED) management reported that there are no undisclosed material changes in the affairs of the company which could account for the recent decrease in the price of the company's shares.
While the company shares ceased trading on NASDAQ on June 17, 1992, as previously announced, the substantial decline in the price of the company's shares cannot be based solely on the cessation of quotation on NASDAQ, the company said. As disclosed, the company's shares are still listed on the OTC Bulletin Board system. In addition the company intends to seek reinstatement on NASDAQ as soon as it is able to meet the requirements for full inclusion on NASDAQ. The company's shares continue to be traded on the Toronto and Vancouver Stock Exchanges.
The company said its business remains solid. Existing products continue to sell well and the company expects the strong revenue growth from its existing products, as reported in its first quarter, to continue for the balance of fiscal 1993.
The introduction of the company's UltraSound board, while slightly delayed, is nearly ready for shipment. Final revisions to software and chip manufacturing/delivery problems have resulted in delays.
UltraSound was recently demonstrated at PC Expo in New York from June 21-23, 1992, with the announcement and demonstration of the first add-on daughter board for UltraSound -- an interface board for a new Sony CD-ROM player.
In addition, the company also displayed at PC Expo the first promotional material from the summer sales campaign of Electronic Arts. This is an aggressive sales campaign by Electronic Arts that features UltraSound and Electronic Art's new software titles with in-store promotions, direct mailings, and print advertising that will greatly increase the awareness of UltraSound.
Despite the delay from the previously announced shipping dates, initial orders, demand and anticipation for UltraSound remains and continues to grow stronger. The company expects to be well poised for the fall selling season with UltraSound.
