 ADT APPOINTS DANNEBERG TO THE BOARD
 NEW YORK, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- ADT announced today that John E.


Danneberg has been appointed to the board, as a non-executive director, filling the vacant position left by the late David W. T. Bates.
 Danneberg was a main board director of ADT from 1984 until the annual general meeting in June 1991. Danneberg, age 42 and a U.S. citizen, has had considerable experience in the service industries in North America including head of the group's security division prior to the acquisition of ADT Inc. in 1987.
