ADMINASTAR AWARDED CONTRACT

 INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Indianapolis-based AdminaStar Information Technologies has been awarded a contract to oversee the maintenance of the critically important "Common Working File," a computer software program that reviews virtually every Medicare claim in the country prior to payment.
 AdminaStar will assure that the software contractor responsible for maintaining the system adheres to the specifications set forth by the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), the federal agency that operates the nation's Medicare program. Additionally, AdminaStar will recommend improvements in the software.
 The five-year contract, which takes effect Oct. 1, 1993, is one of the first of its kind awarded by HCFA.
 AdminaStar will base its operations for this contract in Baltimore. The technical support will be provided by AdminaStar's Indianapolis staff. To assist with particular segments of the software, AdminaStar will sub-contract with the consulting arm of Washington, D.C.-based KPMG Peat Marwick; Chicago-based COMLOGIC, Inc. and Jacksonville, Florida- based DEYO Systems, Inc.
