IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2002

Ideal for Networking, Slim Server, VPN, Firewall, VoIP Gateway,

and Computer Telephony

ADLINK Technology Inc., a leading supplier of open-platform PC and CompactPCI based measurement, automation and embedded computers, today introduced the cPCIS-6125, a tiny all-in-one communication computing system built around the recently introduced line of blade servers.

The new system is a 1U high, 9.5 inches deep, 19-in rackmount chassis especially equipped with dual cooling systems to handle the toughest of bandwidth demanding and data intensive applications such as for network and high density blade server applications, enterprise servers, VoIP, and portals.

Each system is designed to meet convergence systems OEMs' requirements for fast time to market solutions with high reliability, flexibility and scalability in mind. Installation and upgrades for the cPCIS-6125 are accomplished by plugging in two 1-slot (combination of computer and I/O card) or one dual slot CompactPCI 6U high computer board, supplying multiple expansion paths to meet the demanding scalable applications involving subsystem expectations of NEPs and System Integrators (SI) for service providers as a complete full functioning blade server, switch, router, firewall, and gateway and stackable Internet, media, QoS management and cache server.

The rear mounted fully configured keyboard, mouse, and 9-pin serial port connectors further enhance the user's ability to configure and monitor the system. Popular CT operating systems such as Red Hat Linux 7.0, MS Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95/98/ME, and VxWorks are fully supported.

The cooling system is uniquely designed for high processing CPUs, onboard fixed disk storage and RAM with two cooling fans sitting along side the 6U cPCI card drawing air through a ventilation path from the front sucking cool air over the processor and board. On the rear, the cPCIS-6125 has two ventilating fans to continue the airflow out the backside of the chassis. The built-in 200W industrial grade power supply, compartmentalized separately, is equipped with separate cooling fans.

Delivery is from stock. Specifications are available at: http://www.adlinktech.com/products/CompactPCI/cPCIS-6125.htm
