ADDICKS PAY PRICE FOR SODJE'S ERROR.
Sodje inadvertently turned the ball into his own net to give struggling Rovers the lead after the ball had skimmed off Ian Thomas-Moore's head from a corner.
Nicky Bailey grabbed an equaliser for Phil Parkinson's men, but neither side was able to find a winner.
The hosts were the first to threaten, with David Mooney and Deon Burton both testing Luke Daniels.
Charlton suffered a blow before the break when goalkeeper Rob Elliot fell awkwardly and was forced off, with Darren Randolph replacing him.
Tranmere then grabbed a shock lead five minutes after the interval through Sodje's own goal.
But Charlton responded well and pulled level when Bailey fired home from close range following Grant Basey's corner.
Daniels then pulled off a superb save to deny Charlton substitute Leon McKenzie before Thomas-Moore, Craig Curran and Alan Mahon went close for struggling Tranmere.
There were further chances to come at either end and both sides struck the woodwork in a dramatic finish. Ian Goodison headed against the bar for Rovers before the impressive Bailey was denied by the post moments later.
Tranmere's Zoumana Bakayogo was sent off in the dying seconds for a second bookable offence.
