ADC TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC. NAMES NEW FIBERMUX PRESIDENT

 MINNEAPOLIS, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADCT) announced today that it has named former Ungermann-Bass Inc. executive Bruce W. Brown president of its Fibermux subsidiary effective July 1, 1993. Brown replaces Steve Y. Kim who founded Fibermux and served as president since its inception in 1984. Kim has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
 Brown was employed by Ungermann-Bass from 1990 to the present, most recently holding the position of executive vice president, customer operations. Prior to Ungermann-Bass, Brown was senior vice president, marketing, sales and service for McData Corporation, a Colorado-based IBM networking company. Earlier positions include president/division executive of Dynatech Data Systems, a Virginia-based provider of wide area networking equipment and president and CEO of Emcom Corporation, a Texas-based network management software and hardware manufacturer. Brown holds a B.S. degree in psychology from Iowa State University and an M.P.A. in organizational development from Drake University.
