ACXIOM INTRODUCES EXTENSIVE TELEPHONE DIRECTORY.

Acxiom Corporation (Nasdaq:ACXM) has introduced InfoBase Telephone Directories, Client Server Edition. The Client Server Edition is an extensive telephone directory packaged with an award-winning search engine and user interface. It gives users access to over 100 million U.S. and 13 million Canadian listings.

The Client Server Edition is designed for Windows NT environments and uses the industry's most current and accurate telephone and address data. Acxiom collects and compiles telephone books published in every section of the U.S. and Canada, over 4000 books, giving users the information they need to reach customers and prospects quickly and efficiently.

The benefits of the Client Server Edition include fast and easy installation and maintenance, saving customers time to install, and a powerful search engine allowing for quick, flexible searches. It provides the perfect solution for Directory Assistance, Nearby Searching, Call Center Automation, Address Verification, Point of Sale Applications, and Application Verification uses.

According to Eric Longman, director of technology development at Nationwide Credit, Inc., "We've used the Network Edition of InfoBase Telephone Directories for the last 18 months and it has given us incredibly fast access to quality telephone data. We expect the new Client Server Edition will give us the benefits of reduced update time, improved productivity, and a faster and more efficient search engine."

The Client Server Edition packages the same user interface and search engine on CD ROM as the earlier Network Edition. With Client Server, the software and data package is loaded on the server, and the client software is installed from the server. This enables system administrators to load new releases and add new users quickly, without having to install the software on each client workstation.

Acxiom is a leader in compiling telephone data from public sources and making that information available to customers. "The Client Server Edition now gives our customers unparalleled access to the most accurate and comprehensive collection of consumer and business telephone data available in the U.S. and Canada," reported John Riggins, product manager for InfoBase Telephone Directories.

"With Client Server, customers can quickly search for listings by name, address, city, state/province, ZIP/Postal Code, phone number, SIC code, geographic proximity, county or MSA. Additionally, the customer can perform those searches even if they have a partial name, address or telephone number." concluded Riggins.
