ACTIVISION ANNOUNCES REVERSE STOCK SPLIT EFFECTIVE OCT. 20, 1993

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Activision Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ATVI) announced today that its board of directors declared a one-for-three reverse stock split of the company's common stock. The record date for the reverse split will be at the close of business on Oct. 20, 1993.
Fractional shares resulting from the reverse stock split will be rounded to the nearest whole fraction of a share. No shareholder will, however, receive less than one share as a result of the split. After the reverse split, the company will have outstanding approximately 3,747,700 shares of common stock, as compared to 11,242,498 currently outstanding. The company also has two series of preferred stock outstanding, which will be unaffected by the reverse split.
Robert A. Kotick, chairman, stated, "This reverse split is being effected with the goal of increasing the per-share stock price to a level that the company could qualify for listing on the NASDAQ Small Capitalization Market. While we have applied for listing on NASDAQ, we have thus far not been approved, there is no assurance that this reverse split will result in the appropriate stock price or that our listing application will be approved."
