ACTIVE INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS 'ONE-STOP SHOPPING' ADVANTAGE TO INCLUDE WORLDWIDE TRAVEL SERVICES

NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Active International, based in Pearl River, N.Y., holds a unique position among international trading companies because of its versatile "one-stop shopping" advantage. With large-scale barter transactions becoming an important part of the way companies do business today, state-of-the-art barter firms have found that in order to meet corporate needs, they must provide value and versatility in the trade package and flexibility in the types of goods they trade and receive. This need for flexibility has led Active International to expand its worldwide travel services by creating a special in-house, full-service travel agency.
In making the announcement of Active's commitment to expand its worldwide travel services, CEO Alan Elkin stated, "Active is the only trading company able to acquire inventory in one part of the world and provide services in exchange in another. We now can assist clients in utilizing trade credits to help put together European travel packages, as well as packages in other much-desired locations around the world." He adds, "In business, clients often need to plan vacations for themselves and their staff. A wide selection of vacation plans such as cruises, luxury hotels, and leisure packages are now available through the Active International Travel Department."
While media is considered to be the most popular "barter currency," since practically every sizable company utilizes it, a trend has grown out of these uncertain economic times signaling that barter companies offer a greater variety of other products and services as well. Elkin reports, "There is a tremendous expense involved in keeping key personnel on the road, costs which fall to the bottom line. By offering professional services such as travel and business accommodations in our trading programs we can help cut our client's cash cost of doing business."
Active's Travel Department specializes exclusively in travel goods and services with credits toward air travel, automobile rentals, hotel accommodations and more. Among the other travel services it offers, Active can plan conventions, sales meetings and other business gatherings anywhere in the world, along with meeting packages for any number of attendees, and incentive promotions. To assure companies meet their bottom line, Active offers its clients a choice is using their trade credit to purchase travel packages in addition to advertising.
