 ACTION PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES AUGUST SALES UP 45 PERCENT
 OCALA, Fla., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Judith Kaplan, CEO and chairperson of Action Products International, Inc. (NASDAQ: APII), reported August 1991 sales reached $604,005 vs. $417,086 up 45 percent. For the 8 months ending Aug. 31, sales were $3,836,891 vs. $3,157,549 up 21.5 percent and 12 month trailing sales were $5,011,511 vs. $4,199,077 up 19 percent. The company is on target for its 1992 goal of $5,500,000.
 August sales included a large custom import order of miniature die cast NASCAR racing cars.
 The board of directors authorized the repurchase of up to 100,000 shares of common stock over the next 3 years. The stock is currently trading below book value.
 Action Products, a manufacturer and importer specializing in the museum and corporate specialty markets is the manufacturer of Space Adventure(TM) and Nature Adventure(TM) freeze-dried ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, frozen yogurts, fruits and other freeze-dried snacks.
