ACM Crossroads also has launched a new monthly column that focuses on computer security. The first column explains the basics of this important topic. "On Patrol" can be found at www.acm.org/crossroads/columns/onpatrol. Other important editorial events in ACM Crossroads include a monthly column about computer networking and an issue focusing on tools tutorials.
The ACM Crossroads article "Teamwork in Programming Contests: 3 * 1 = 4" by Fabian Ernst, Jeroen Moelands, and Seppo Pieterse, was selected as a Links2Go.com Key Resource in the Links2Go.com Programming Contests topic.
To see the article, go to: www.acm.org/crossroads/xrds3-2/progcon.html.
Starting this fall (issue 7.1) ACM Crossroads will be full color. This major change in production will not only aid Crossroads' readers but will also enhance advertising possibilities.
ACM also brings readers' attentions to the fact that ACM Crossroads subcriptions have grown from around fourteen thousand to nearly twenty thousand in the last eighteen months.
