Sheldon dance team invited to bowl game

The Sheldon High School Dance Team will perform at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Wednesday.

The team, coached by Hillary McClintick, was invited after winning its second state championship in a row this year. Team members will have two days of rehearsal with choreographer Mandy Moore before performing in the Big Bay Balloon Parade and at halftime. Student to attend leadership summit

Sheldon High School student Kaitlyn Harris has been accepted into the People to People Leadership Summit, to be held next summer at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Participants complete an academically rigorous program focused on leader ship development and global awareness.

Harris was nominated and accepted based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.
