ACER NETXUS SELECTS AMBIENT USB MODEM CHIPSET.

Acer Netxus, a communications company within the Acer Group, has selected an Ambient Technologies chipset for use in a new USB modem product.

The Ambient MD567X is a high performance, controller-based solution for V.90 USB modems. Drivers are available for both Windows 95/98 and Mac OS 8.5 or higher. This software upgradable 56K USB modem chipset comes with a complete set of industry-standard features for data, fax, voice and video applications. It supports all requirements for PC-based communications-including Voice IS-101, Fax Class 1 and all industry-standard AT commands for data. It meets Microsoft Windows TAPI standards and exceeds Microsoft PC 98 specifications for Windows and legacy applications.
