ACCA FURNACE CHECK PROJECT IS TODAY
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Fall is here and it's time again

to make sure the furnace is operating properly. Have your natural gas furnace inspected for both safety and efficiency reasons before the heating season arrives, a spokesman said today.
For some area families and homeowners, the cost of a yearly furnace inspection is too expensive. To help remedy this problem, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) in conjunction with The Peoples Natural Gas Company, will donate their time and services to those in need today by conducting free natural gas furnace inspections for 30 homes in Allegheny County.
Families and homeowners have been selected by the following criteria: homeowners, low-income (at or below 150 percent of the poverty level), unemployed, underemployed or disabled.
ACCA is comprised of 33 independent heating contractors and 26 affiliates including suppliers, utilities and vocational schools in five western Pennsylvania counties with the goal of helping area contractors provide and maintain quality heating, ventilation and air-conditioning service to customers.
ACCA furnace inspectors will be wearing name tags for the purpose of proper identification.
Peoples Gas provides gas service to more than 331,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in 16 southwestern Pennsylvania counties.
