ACC TRAVELING SOUVENIR STORE ROLLS INTO SEMINOLE COUNTRY FOR FSU EVENTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- There will be a new twist to souvenir sales when the traditional Florida State "Garnet and Gold" spring football game and 3-game FSU-Miami baseball series hit Seminole Country this weekend, including a first-of-its-kind traveling store carrying Atlantic Coast Conference souvenirs.
Fans attending the football and baseball events on the Florida State campus this weekend will be greeted by the ACC's first ever traveling souvenir store -- a 50-foot-long, 9-foot-wide store-on-wheels. Charlotte-based Spectator Sports Services Inc., licensed by the ACC to distribute its merchandise, plans to anchor the souvenir store Friday morning on Chieftan Way just outside Howser Stadium's right field wall.
The souvenir store rolls into Tallahassee after making stops at the recent ACC basketball tournament in Charlotte and NCAA regionals in Greensboro, N.C. Among its offerings will be custom "Noles vs. Canes" baseball series tee-shirts and "Garnet and Gold Spring Football Game" souvenirs. Plenty of other Seminole collectibles will be available at the store along with other popular ACC merchandise.
The traveling store will also be open for business on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 when the ACC Track and Field Championships are held at Mike Long Track on the Florida State Campus. The same weekend, FSU hosts the ACC Softball Championships at Lady Seminole Field. Special souvenirs for those events are planned as well and will be available at the ACC store near the track events.
Florida State University's athletic director, Bob Goin, is delighted to have the ACC traveling souvenir store on campus.
"The ACC will find out quickly that Florida State fans are some of the best college sports fans in the country," said Goin. "We are proud of our affiliation with the Atlantic Coast Conference and feel certain the traveling souvenir store will do a brisk business here in Seminole Country."
