ACC SUBSIDIARY TO PROVIDE LONG DISTANCE SERVICES TO UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO STUDENTS AND ALUMNI

 ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- ACC Corp. (NASDAQ: ACCC) today announced that its 70 percent owned Canadian subsidiary, ACC TelEnterprises Ltd., has reached an agreement in principle with the University of Toronto to provide long distance services to its students and alumni. Revenues from this agreement could total $15 million (CDN) over the next three years. Upon the signing of definitive contracts, ACC will have the exclusive right to market long distance residential telephone services to the university's students for one year and 175,000 alumni for three years. This announcement was made today by ACC Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard T. Aab.
 In commenting on the agreement, Aab stated, "Once again, ACC's unique Affinity Service Program has benefitted another fine educational institution in Ontario. This is a "win-win" situation for ACC, the University of Toronto, and its students and alumni. We are pleased to welcome this university to our growing base of college and university customers."
 ACC Corp. is a diversified telecommunications company based in Rochester, N.Y. Through its subsidiaries, ACC Corp. provides long distance service throughout the northeastern United States and is the second largest long distance reseller in Canada. In addition, the company holds the first international simple resale license granted in the United Kingdom.
