ABE HIRSCHFELD WONDERS...WHERE ARE MURDOCH AND CUOMO?
NEW YORK, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- With the final payments on the New York Post buyout now past-due and Rupert Murdoch and Gov. Cuomo missing from scheduled meetings, Abe Hirschfeld has retained the services of C. Vernon Mason to represent his interests. A payment of $2,550,000 was due to Hirschfeld last month, as sole shareholder of the New York Post Corporation, under the terms of his buyout agreement with Murdoch, but thus far only $1,450,000 has been paid. "We had several meetings scheduled last month for the remaining payment of $1,100,000," stated Hirschfeld, "but Mr. Murdoch and Governor Cuomo failed to show up for any of them. Until this is finalized," he added, "I remain the sole shareholder and I don't intend to wait forever." Mr. Mason also reported Hirschfeld has requested that the debtor make available for examination all financial records and books, income and expense statements of the New York Post Corporation, since his client had previously only received estimates rather than final records. -0- 6/1/93 /CONTACT: Abe Hirschfeld, 212-695-3883, or Barry M.
