 ABB PROVIDES INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS TO KOREAN AUTO PARTS MAKER
 STAMFORD, Conn., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Asea Brown Boveri Inc. ("ABB") today announced a $4.75 million order for an integrated robotic paint spraying system from a South Korean auto parts maker.
 ABB Graco Robotics Inc., based in Michigan, will perform engineering, design and fabrication of the automobile-part painting system for Apollo Industrial Co., Ltd. The system includes paint spray robots, equipped with precision metering systems, and a proprietary control system.
 ABB said installation is scheduled for the third quarter of 1992, with production start-up expected by year-end. Customer support services will be provided through ABB's newly established Robot Automation Center in Seoul.
 Apollo Industrial, of Kyongju, is a manufacturer of plastic automotive parts and is an exclusive supplier to Hyundai Motor Company, one of South Korea's largest automobile manufacturers.
 ABB Graco Robotics designs, manufactures and services robotic paint finishing systems for automotive and industrial finishers. Asea Brown Boveri Inc. provides products and services for the power, process, industrial automation, environmental control, mass transit and other markets. The company and its subsidiaries have sales of approximately $6 billion and some 30,000 employees in the United States.
