ABB Lummus Global and BP Chemicals.

ABB Lummus Global, Bloomfield, NJ, and BP Chemicals have been awarded the license and basic engineering for a 40,000 metric-ton-per-year expandable polystyrene plant by China Petrochemical International (SINOPEC). The plant, to be located in Dalian, China, is to be built by Dalian Petrochemical, a subsidiary of SINOPEC. The plant will feature BP Chemicals' Rigipore expandable polystyrene technology, a high productivity suspension polymerization process. In a deal worth approximately $1.6 million, a U.S. unit of ABB has licensed its electricity distribution software to Commission Federal de Electricidad (CFE), generator of 90% of Mexico's electricity.
