AAR APPOINTS JOHNSON AS GROUP VICE PRESIDENT

 ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR) has announced the appointment of Robert D. Johnson as group vice president - Services and Manufacturing. Johnson will be responsible for the operations of the company's six overhaul units, with their satellite facilities, as well as its three manufacturing units. Sales from the services and manufacturing operations accounted for approximately 50 percent of the company's total revenues in fiscal 1992.
 For the past 24 years, Johnson was with the General Electric Company. During his long tenure, all with G.E. Aircraft Engines, he held progressively responsible positions in both operations and general management, after beginning in the company's financial area. Most recently he was general manager - Field Service Department with responsibility for GE's global network of field engineers. His previous assignment was as general manager of GE Engine Services with responsibility for a worldwide network of aircraft engine overhaul and component repair facilities.
 David P.
