AAF Expands Operational Footprint in Europe with Acquisition of RIS Facility Management.


23 January 2018 - Germany based air filtration solutions provider AAF Lufttechnik GmbH has acquired Germany based air quality services provider RIS Facility Management GmbH to expand its operational footprint and enhance the level and quantity of services offered in Germany and Europe, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AAF Lufttechnik GmbH is a German affiliate of Kentucky, US-based American Air Filter Co. Inc., d/b/a AAF International.

RIS provides HVAC inspections, process technology, repairs and maintenance to a wide range of industries, for both supply and exhaust air. The company employs approximately 100 employees who are able to deliver consultancy and service for clean air-related process security and value retention of equipment and buildings.

RIS said joining forces with the AAF team will combine AAF's product portfolio and intelligent data tools with our service offerings.

AAF said this acquisition will help it to meet customer demand for value-added air filtration solutions in Germany. The company is now positioned to expand a one-stop-shop across all of Europe.

American Air Filter Co. Inc., d/b/a AAF International, offers manufacturing capabilities in the air filtration industry. AAF develops and manufactures air filtration solutions designed to remove and control airborne particulates and gaseous contaminants in commercial, residential, industrial, cleanroom, transportation and nuclear power applications.

American Air Filter Co. Inc. is supported in its international ventures through the resources of its parent company Daikin Industries Ltd., based in Osaka, Japan, a diversified international manufacturing company and a leader in air conditioning.
