AA rating awarded to Qatar by S&P.
According to the agency, Qatar is among the wealthiest economies it ranks, with gross domestic product per capita estimated at $104,000 in 2012.
The organisation highlighted the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry is an area where investment will "tail off" from the end of the year, with production capacity reaching 77 million tonnes per year.
Qatar has received an AA rating from one of the world's major credit assessment bodies, Standard & Poor (S&P)
Estimates from the group also suggest the population will grow by six per cent every year until 2015, with GDP per capita expected to remain largely flat over the same period.
A statement from S&P added: "Economic growth could accelerate again from 2015 when the government's moratorium on the development of new hydrocarbon projects is expected to end."
In June, the country received the same credit rating and was ranked among the economies of Kuwait, Oman, Brazil and Mexico.
