A6 closure warning for new footbridge; IN BRIEF.
LEICESTERSHIRE County Council Highways has agreed to a temporary traffic regulation order at the A6 Loughborough Road, Birstall to allow for the installation of a new footbridge over the A6..
The closure will take place from 7.30pm on August 24 until 6am on August 28.
The road will be closed, in both directions, between the junction of Meadow Road and the junction of Hallam Fields Road.
During the works the Leicester bound slip road out of the Park and Ride will be closed.
The Park and Ride will remain open, however, access and exit of the Park and Ride will be via the traffic lights opposite Meadow Road, there will be no left turn out of the Park and Ride.
Diversion route for Local traffic and light vehicles via: - Sibson Road, Wanlip Lane, Rectory Road and vice versa.
Main diversion for other traffic is via: - A46 Leicester Western Bypass, A607 Syston bypass, A607 Newark Road (Thurmaston), A607 Melton Road (Thurmaston), A563 Watermead Way and vice versa Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
