A55 cycling; yourLETTERS.

I AM in total agreement with Brian Christley (Viewpoint, Daily Post Aug 2) re the A55 and cycling. He is fortunate, however, to live in a district which is well-served with designated, traffic-free paths, ideal for family cycling.

Cyclists travelling from this area towards Abergwyngregyn and Llanfairfechan are directed along the Sustrans N5 cycle route which, owing to its geographical nature and regrettable volume of traffic, is a potential death trap. Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones has deferred the creation of a safe cycle track pending discussions with local landowners.

If he himself is a cyclist, I am certain that he would not enjoy the hair-raising experience of traversing the notorious N5 road from Talybont to Aber.
