A19 crash near shopping park claims life of driver in his 50s; Officers are keen to see any dash cam footage or speak to any motorists who have seen the incident.

A driver has died following a crash on the A19 close to a popular shopping park.
The man was driving a silver Hyundai car on the northbound carriageway of the A19 close to the Dalton Park shopping precinct, near Seaham, on Friday night.
For reasons yet unknown his car left the carriageway and crashed, coming to rest on a grassed verge.
Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for hours while emergency services dealt with the incident on Friday night.
Now police are appealing for witnesses and are keen to see any dash cam footage or speak to any motorists who have seen the Hyundai hatchback between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on Friday, January 17, between Dalton Park and the A1018 slip road.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary's collision investigation unit on 101, quoting incident reference 350 of January 17.
